Daikin Ductless Solutions

SINGLE AND MULTI-ZONE SYSTEMS

No Ducts? No problem.
Solutions for every home and every room.

Daikin single and multi-zone systems are a great solution to displace traditional systems in primary living spaces, provide supplemental heating and cooling, and can add conditioned air to nearly anywhere you need it. They have a modern design and are extremely quiet in operation.

Daikin ductless mini-split systems offer energy-efficient heating and cooling without the need for ductwork. They consist of one or more indoor units (wall-mounted, floor-mounted, ceiling, or concealed) connected via refrigerant lines to an outdoor compressor/condenser.

Because they avoid ductwork energy losses and offer zoning flexibility, they’re ideal for new additions, retrofits, hot or cold spots, room-by-room upgrades, or homes without existing duct systems.

NO DUCTS. NO PROBLEM

How it works?

The indoor unit is mounted in the room requiring heating and cooling. It is directly connected to a nearby, single outdoor unit.

With its adaptive inverter technology, a Daikin ductless system helps your room’s temperature stay comfortable and consistent. This ductless air conditioner and heat pump can be controlled by your Daikin ONE+, Daikin ONE Touch, or Daikin ONE Lite. You can also use a wireless remote or smartphone controls, depending on the model. Since there are no ducts, professional installation is often completed in just one day.

      FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

      Daikin Ductless FAQ

Replacing the entire system, including ductwork, may be too expensive! A single zone ductless system can help reduce the burden of your central system and provide additional comfort control for primary use rooms such as the main bedroom. Here are some answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.

      01

I can barely hear it. Is it working?

Yes! With Daikin’s adaptive inverter technology, Daikin mini-split ductless systems run quietly. Select Daikin units also have a quiet mode option that allows the system to reduce the sound level of the indoor unit even more.

      02

How efficient are they and how much energy could I save?

Daikin ductless systems offer SEER2 options up to 27.4 (that’s VERY efficient) with state-of-the-art technology that doesn’t compromise comfort. This quiet, adaptive inverter technology helps maintain the desired room temperatures using only the energy needed in the moment, which typically reduces energy consumption by up to 30% or more (compared to traditional fixed-speed ducted systems).

Before purchasing this appliance, read important information about its estimated annual energy consumption, yearly operating cost, or energy efficiency rating that is available from your retailer.
      03

Do Daikin ductless solutions have motion sensors?

Yes. Select Daikin systems offer an intelligent eye sensor, which is designed to sense motion, switching to energy-saving mode when you leave the room for more than 20 minutes. The intelligent eye may offer savings up to an additional 20% in cooling and up to 30% in heating, compared to units without this feature.

Before purchasing this appliance, read important information about its estimated annual energy consumption, yearly operating cost, or energy efficiency rating that is available from your retailer.
      04

Where do I place a Daikin ductless indoor unit?

Wherever you want to be comfortable indoors. Indoor units are typically mounted on a centrally located wall, but can be placed wherever a room allows. Ductless systems offer flexibility in a variety of situations where ductwork is not available, and are great replacements for baseboard heating or window units. Customers like you have Daikin ductless solutions located in:
      • Garages
      • Basements
      • Sunrooms
      • Man caves and she sheds
      • Areas where ducted airflow is limited.
      • And more …
      05

What if I'm planning a new addition or a new home?

New home designs and addition plans can be easily adapted to take full advantage of ductless heating and cooling systems. A Daikin single and/or multi-zone system can be designed to help maximize energy savings and add room-to-room comfort and control. Your Daikin ductless dealer can help you navigate your options with ease.
      06

What's the difference between single and multi-zone?

Single zone heat pump units cool or heat single areas, usually a single room, or home addition that lacks sufficient heating and cooling. It uses an outdoor unit connected to a single indoor unit.

Multi-zone systems allow you to run multiple indoor units to a single outdoor unit, and enable you to have localized, indoor temperature control in each “zone” (room) where they are mounted. This allows multiple people to have individualized comfort throughout the home, and potentially help you save energy and utility costs by providing on-demand comfort in the rooms you’re enjoying.
      07

What are the features of the Daikin Room Air Purifier (MCB50YSAU)?

The AHAM-certified Daikin Room Air Purifier uses three-stage air filtration technology to improve indoor air quality. Each stage helps deeply cleanse the air, providing a fresh air environment. It also features a quiet mode that operates as low as 21 dB and weighs only 15 pounds, so you can move it from room to room, as necessary.
