VRV Heat Recovery (REYQ)

Daikin's current  VRV system is the 7th iteration of the first Daikin VRV launched in 1982. Completely re-engineered to realize opportunities for VRV in taller / larger buildings, it utilizes the latest advances in refrigeration and air-conditioning technology. The totally new Daikin Inverter compressor system delivers improved efficiency and performance, while ensuring satisfaction of demands throughout connected zones across the complete operation cycle. With a choice of Heat Recovery 460V/3Ph/60Hz or 208-230V/3Ph/60Hz, the system configurations power up to 28-tons in capacity from a single piping network. The system also allows up to 58 indoor fan coil units, a 200% connection index, ventilation options and integrated controls, with BMS options and piping limitations never before seen with a DX system. With these attributes, VRV naturally positions itself wherever the attributes of traditional chilled water systems are desired.

  • BSVQ single and multi-port Branch Selector units allow for optimization of the system design saving piping and installation time
  • Anticorrosion treatment standard on exterior metal parts and heat exchanger
  • Fully compatible with the complete Daikin control suite including the Intelligent Touch controller, the Intelligent Touch Manager, and the LonWorks® and BACnet® gateways

1. Newly improved fans and grilles

A higher external static pressure has been achieved-from 0.24” to 0.32” W.G.-thanks to reduced internal pressure loss, use of the new fans and the new grilles.

New aero spiral fan and aero asymmetrical fan
The area of these new fan blades has been increased and optimized for each casing. This greatly reduces pressure loss, resulting in a higher external static pressure.

In the 12-Ton unit, a single fan with a diameter of 27.5" has been split into two fans with diameters of 21.25" each. Blade area has been increased by 20% to increase airflow.

The three-dimensional, integrated, soft woven steel grilles are
covered with a plastic coating that protects them from rotating
elements and the possibility of fire damage.

2. Heat exchanger

The new heat exchanger contributes to a higher COP because of an increase from 7% to 10% of the effective length as well as an optimized e-Pass heat exchanger.

3. Improving the high efficiency compressor to achieve a higher COP and larger capacity

Reluctance DC scroll compressor
Daikin's unique scroll compressor minimizes heat loss, and is driven by a high efficiency motor to achieve significant energy savings.  By introducing high pressure oil, the reactive force from the fixed scroll is added to the internal force, thereby reducing thrust losses. This results in improve deficiency and suppressed sound levels.

4. Heat transfer circuit

By performing sub cooling before the expansion process, the volume of refrigerant that needs to be circulated to the indoor units can be reduced without lowering the evaporation temperature. This permits the use of narrower piping.

5. Compact Electrical Panel

Realizes a compact casing by stacking the Inverter and control PCBs plusoptimizing the internal design to suit airflow speed. This achieves lower noise and reduces the power input.

6. Smooth sine wave DC Inverter

By adoption of the Sine Wave, which smoothes the rotation of the motor, operation efficiency is dramatically improved.
