DIII-Net/BACnet™ MS/TP Communication Adaptor (DTA118A72)

Connects the VRV System through the BACnet Protocol

The DIII-Net/BACnet™ MS/TP Communication Adaptor enables the connection of VRV systems to a compatible Building Management System (BMS). The adaptor operates as a BACnet router/gateway for the VRV system. It will operate as a BACnet interpreter using services defined by BACnet to return the status of the indoor unit and outdoor units connected to the DIII network. The adaptor will also send commands to the indoor unit in response to the requests from the BMS. With this adaptor, a third-party BMS can monitor the VRV indoor units, outdoor units and control the indoor units through the BACnet MS/TP protocol. In addition, the adaptor can be mounted to the VRV outdoor or indoor unit.

System Capacity:

  • A maximum of 2 DIII-Net/BACnet MS/TP Communication Adaptors can be connected on the same DIII-Net network.
  • Up to 4 outdoor units can be connected and provide their operational data to the BMS.
  • Up to 32 indoor units can be connected for monitoring and control by the BMS.

Network Visualization:

  • BACnet virtual router function implemented:
    – Individual BACnet device ID assigned to each indoor unit group and each outdoor unit.

Features:

  • Direct connection to the BMS using BACnet™ MS/TP protocol
  • BTL Certified device
  • Easy commissioning using DIP switches & BACnet Objects.
  • Each adaptor can connect to 4 Outdoor units and 32 Indoor units.
  • BACnet virtual router function implemented: Individual BACnet device ID assigned to each indoor unit group address and outdoor unit Airnet Address.
  • Independent heating and cooling setpoints.
  • Can be mounted to outdoor unit or indoor unit (select models only)
  • BACnet objects for operation data (compatible outdoor units and indoor unit data).
  • Supports Celsius or Fahrenheit for temperature values
